How did you choose it?
When I started I had (have) a cute little bag with a red cross and the name NIGHTNURSE on it. I used it for my headphones and stuff. Because it was always standing behind the decks, people started to call me nightnurse. When I started to think about it i thought the name was very appropriate: I work with needles, always at night and I try to make people feel good. Because of the electro scene, I liked the sound of the Dutch translation better…

Vinyl junkie or CDs?
Only vinyl but not out of principle – just because I can't seem to work out those CD players with those loops I can never get out of...

How many records/CDs do you have?
Let me think... 6 boxes of about 180 records, but I only play about 30 of them. Once people don't react on one I never touch it again. That's why I never play long sets, because I just don't have the records for it...

What style of music do you play?
Someone called it gezellig (cosy). That's the best description I can give you. It's electro with loads of oldies, vocals and bootlegs. I'm like a little whore on stage – always giving the audience what they want as long as it isn't corny. I try to keep it sexy and funny. In one-and-a-half hours I try to go from 130 BMP to 142 BPM so some people call it hard, but I disagree… of course.

Where do you DJ?
I DJ for Spellbound, Artlaunch and Gala and wherever these guys take me. Only at gay parties when I think of it... wonder why that is?

Your ideal DJ gig?
Outside the Westerkerk with loads of sunshine and even more gays.

Current musical obsession?
Trying to find out what the name is of a record I heard in a DJ set on 3voor12 from Tiefswartz. It's a little Benny Benassi-like and has a male voice singing:
